In the scenario where you find yourself with events that you no longer want or use, or there was a misconfiguration that resulted in errant event names, you will want to hide them within the mParticle UI.
To hide the events, you will want to file a support ticket and select Datapoint Cleanup.
Some essential information to include in your request is the Organization, Account, Workspace, and specific event or attribute name(s) and event types you want to remove. If the names fall under a particular pattern, you can provide that instead, e.g., "Clicked Item 1", "Clicked Item 2", etc.
If you are unsure of all of the event names in your workspace and would prefer a list to review, a mParticle Technical Services Engineer (TSE) can provide a list for your review.
Once all of the events are confirmed, the TSE will submit a request to hide the event names. The TSE will update you on the ticket when the request is complete.
For some unforeseen reason, if you need to unhide events, follow the same process as you did for hiding the events.
